Congratulations
to Dr. Fariborz Maseeh and the Fariborz Maseeh
Department of Mathematics and Statistics for
an exciting $3.9 million investment in computational
science at PSU! (This gift comes in addition
to Dr. Maseeh’s previous $8 million gift
to build the Maseeh College of Engineering and
Computer Science.)
Faculty
members in the Department of Physics partner
with computational scientists to create models
for atmospheric and climate change, to optimize
silicon lithography, to advance designs for
electron microscopes, to refine techniques
for correcting and processing digital images
and to design carbon nanotubes used in the
semiconductor and other industries.
We
extend hearty thanks to Dr. Maseeh and look
forward to expanding our collaborations with
the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Mathematics
and Statistics!
